Japanese Technology Solution for Greener Planet: JFE Engineering India secures Two Major Waste to Energy projects in Andhra Pradesh, India

JFE Engineering India Private Limited (JFE India), a wholly owned subsidiary of JFE Engineering Corporation, Japan, is pleased to announce a significant milestone in advancing its Waste to Energy initiatives in India. JFE India has been awarded two Waste to Energy (WtE) projects wherein it will offer its proprietary Stoker Technology along with turnkey EPC services as a single point solution to Antony Group.

This double win reinforces JFE India’s continued commitment to the scientific treatment and sustainable disposal of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), further strengthening its position as a leading provider of high-efficiency environmental engineering solutions.

Under this EPC agreement(s), JFE India will execute two WtE plants at Kadapa and Kurnool clusters, each with a capacity of 750 Tons Per Day (TPD). Through controlled combustion, each plant will generate 15 MWe of Green Energy. By deploying its proven and reliable JFE-SBG Stoker Technology adhering to the latest emission norms of the country (for waste to energy facilities), these plants will usher in a new dimension in providing sustainable solution to urban waste management challenges and contribute directly to India’s Green Energy goals.

JFE India will undertake the complete Engineering, Procurement, Electro-mechanical Construction & Commissiong (EPCC) scope to deliver a state-of-the-art WtE facility at each of the sites. Through its globally benchmarked technologies and execution standards, the company continues to bring world-class waste management solutions to India.
